“Twenty years from now you will be more disappointed by the things that you didn't do than by the ones you did do. So throw off the bowlines. Sail away from the safe harbor. Catch the trade winds in your sails. Explore. Dream. Discover.” -Mark Twain

Halong Bay
One of the most iconic images of
northern Vietnam is Halong Bay. Limestone mountains rise out of the turquoise
waters, shadowing the floating fishing villages and cruising boats of the bay.
This time of year, the bay is cloaked in semi-permanent fog, making the bay a
calm, eerie place. It’s hard to tell exactly when a mountain will emerge,
looming out of the mists. There is no wind, and the fog muffles any sounds from
the other boats.
